"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Subject: My last wish through money donation

Dear beloved,

My name is Jocelyn Cabaneros. I am an Italian woman. I am suffering from a terminal disease called cancer of the esophagus. The cancer has defiled all forms of medical treatment and according to medical experts, I have only about a few months to live because the cancer has gotten to a very bad stage. The cancer has become so very deteriorated to the point that it has made me to be partially deaf and dumb. I don't want your pity, the only thing I need is your cooperation and trust. Because my heart desire now is to make my last days on earth count by touching lives with US$10million I have decided to sow into humanity.

My husband died four years ago from complications arising from cancer of the lungs, and during the period of our marriage we couldn't produce any child. My late husband was very wealthy and after his death, I inherited all his businesses and wealth and I took over the control and management of his vast empire. I have not particularly lived my life so well, as I never really cared for anyone (not even myself), but only my late husband's business empire which he bequeathed to me, even though I did not bear any child for him. Yes I am very wealthy both in cash and assets, but I was never generous. I was always very proud and hostile to people and my focus was mainly on my late husband's business empire. But now I regret all as I know that there is more to life than just wanting to have or make all the money in the world.

All you have to do is to take US$1million for yourself as your reward for your time and to also to cover any expenses that you might incur during this great task and then distribute the remaining US$9million to charity organizations, the less privileged, handicapped persons, elderly in care homes, the orphans, the refugees, etc and religious organizations for the propagation of the gospel. I am sorry if you are embarrassed by my mail.

If you are interested, get back to me. God bless you.

Jocelyn Cabaneros
