"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Subject: Good Morning

Good Morning
My name is Joshua Brooklyn 19 years of age from Cote d'Ivoire leaving with my mother in Cotonou. My late father was a coffee, coco, beans and Gold exporter when he was alive. He was poisoned to death by my stepmother; he died last November 18th, 2015. Since after the painful death of my late father, my step mother was desperately after my life because of the $37.5Million my late father deposited in my name with a privately owned Storage Company in Republic of Benin West Africa of which I have all the depository documents with me.

Upon your receipt of these amounts, you shall invest it in various good business ventures that will bring good returns. If this is welcome by you, I will ask my father's lawyer to make an agreement that will be signed by both parties as our bond, after which I will give you more detail in this regard, also send me your direct contact number for communication.
I am waiting for your urgent response.
Thanks for your kind co-operation.
Yours faithfully,
Joshua Brooklyn
