"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam
The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.
Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.
Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Some comments by the Scam-O-Matic about the following email:
- This email uses a separate reply address that is different from the sender address. Spammers use this to get replies even when the original spam sending accounts have been shut down. Also, sometimes the sender addresses are legitimate looking but fake and only the reply address is actually an email account controlled by the scammers.
- This email message is a 419 scam. Please see our 419 FAQ for more details on such scams.
- This email lists free webmail addresses. Use of such addresses is typical for scams. Lotteries, banks and any but the smallest of companies do not normally use such addresses. Criminals use them to anonymously send and receive email at Internet cafes.

Subject: GOOD DAY.
Dear Sir,
I sincerely apologize if I am interfering on your privacy. My name is Mr. Donald Taylor, International Marketing & Research Manager with Orange Pharmaceutical Company, United Kingdom. Our Medical Centre urgently need Wild African Mango Extract Seedlings for herbal purposes. This item is used to manufacture supplementary vitamins to prevent Ebola, HIV, tuberculosis and diabetes control. The seed is originated from the rain forest of Congo D.R.C in East Africa.
I am looking for a sincere and honest business person/company that I can work with. I need to have an agreement with the person/company to stand as an agent/supplier of this product to my company. I have the direct contact of the local dealer in South Africa. But I need a middle-man because I do not want a direct link between my company and him. On our agreement I will introduce you to the local dealer. You can purchase at low rate and supply to my company in a rate where we can get a maximal profit. I will use my position to accept any price quotation from you for purchase on behalf of my company.
I will present you to the company as direct local dealer and the company will deal with you directly as long as you will be sincere and protect my interest. What you will do is to buy in large quantities the items from the local dealer and resale to my company and reserve 25% of the profit for me. The price from the local dealer is US$500 per kilogram while you can resale to my company at the rate of US$1250. And we can make a profit of US$750 per kilogram out of which 25% will be mine. Please indicate your positive interest immediately for us to proceed.
Get back to me with this e-mail for more details. mr.donaldtaylor@gmail.com
Thank you.
Kind regards,
Mr. Donald Taylor.
