"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Dear BARNES,

Please i need your urgent help due to my present situation, I am a
family lawyer to late Mr. Michael BARNES, my client died in auto crash
along with his wife and their only daughter long ago and i have been
searching for the relatives of my late client without success.

I am writing to you because of the mandate I received from the Bank
where my client kept a huge amount of money and gold treasure before
his death and now the bank have requested that as his lawyer, i should
provide the next of kin to my late client so that they will release
the money and the gold to the rightful beneficiary. Please i need your
help because you have the same surname with my late client.

If you agree with this proposal, kindly get back to me with your full
name , your Address, your direct telephone so that we can discuss the
appropriate relation to this transaction. I guarantee that you will
not be in any danger risk of any violation of international or local
law. I will direct you accordingly once i receive your information.

Thank you and remain blessed.
