"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Subject: URGENT REQUEST

Good Day,

My name is Dr.David Brimley,I work with an Asset Investment Company called
Parker and Associates Inc., a global network of independent firms of
accountants, auditors, tax advisers and business consultants.

I saw your profile with Southern African chamber of commerce and I decided
to contact you so we can co-operate in this proposition because you have
the same surname as my deceased client who died after a brief illness.I
hope you can help me in the claims/transfer of the funds that my deceased
client deposited for investment with my firm which is now ready to be
transferred since we had a five year investment plan which the return of
investment has accrued to a total of $9,500,000.00 (Nine Million Five
Hundred Thousand United States Dollars) which has been due since the 17th
of February 2015.

On discovery of the Death of our deceased investor ,I made further
investigation into his files and records with us and I discovered he did
not declare any next of kin or Beneficiary in all his official documents,
including his deposit paperwork with our firm.

Our Investment company has issued me a notification to contact the next of
kin of our deceased client to either make claim as beneficiary of the
investment due for payment.

My proposition to you is to seek your agreement to present you as the
next-of-kin and beneficiary to my deceased client, since you have the same
surname as my deceased client, this is 100% risk free as i am directly in
charge of all the paper work in our investment company.

This means that the funds would be given to you as the legitimate
beneficiary. I want you to propose a sharing percentage for yourself, all
legal documents to back up your claim as the deceased next-of-kin would be
provided by me,the most important thing I would need is your honest
co-operation,I have evaluated the risk analysis and I am convinced that the
risk element is zero as long as you maintain 100% confidentiality and this
transaction would be done under a legitimate arrangement that would protect
you from any breach of the law.

The funds are ready to be transferred to you via diplomatic courier or bank
to bank and all i need is your confirmation in your willingness to assist.

Please establish secured communication with me through the above means, as
time is not in our favor and we need to finalize the transfer of the funds
as soon as possible. I really hope to get a positive response from you in
regards to this proposal.

Let me have a number to reach you so we can talk this in details.
