"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Subject: HELLO

 Hello,
I am chief Kofi, the son of late king Saaka kofi from Effiduase Village in Obuasi Ghana- West Africa.Actually,my father was  a traditional ruler here in Ghana governing Obuasi before his death. The family have many hectare of land of Gold inherited from our great grandfathers. We are local gold miners in the region.
We are small scale miners who mined on their own land, but due to Government new regulations in the mining sector that is affectingsmall scale mining,we decided to sell overseas to raise money to regularize government policy on our mining activities, that is why we seek foreign investors to invest in the mines for joint venture since we still have vast land that is yet to be mined,we also want to sell a reserve of 180KG gold bar at a reasonable price in order to raise money therefore if you are interested you have to come down here for a meeting with the entire family before we sign an agreement on profit sharing and how to run the gold farm.

Thank you and looking forward doing business with you.Regards
Chief Kofi [Family spokes man]
