"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Subject: Urgent response required please.

Dear Sir,
The decision to initiate this contact was not an easy one, but I just need to talk to someone about it. Also, I am very sorry to have contacted you in this manner, considering the level of confidentiality that the message contained here requires. The risk however, is mine, as I have so much at stake. Even though internet may not be entirely safe for this discussion, I still can't think of any safer and faster means of communication that will go straight to the intended recipient. My name is Frank Kamokai. I am contacting you from Ghana, West Africa. The point is that I am a young man who has just inherited twenty five million US Dollars ($25,000,000 USD), which I want to take out of this region and establish myself in your country, for personal reasons. I can explain in details to you on your response. I need you to help me, if I can be reassured of your ability and reliability to handle this huge sum of money. I am looking forward to hearing from you.

Regards,
Frank Kamokai.
