"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Subject: FROM MARK, PLS REPLY ASAP

Hello,
Good day, i wish this message meets you in a good health and sound mind.
My name is mark Gyan, i and my mother inherited the sum of $11, million)
from my late father, who was killed during the recent political crisis in my
country.
My mother is very sick and she is suffering from cancer of the blood, leukemia.
Her condition is very bad at the hospital now.
The fund is in a ‘safe box’ and kept in a security company in London.
My father told the company that his partner will come for the release of the
safe box (funds) before he was killed here in Abidjan.
That is why i am contacting you, to present yourself as my late father's
foreign partner and apply for the release of the funds.
We will give you 20% of the funds, the 20% is $2.2 million, and you will remove
every expense you make during your trip to London before your percentage of
20%.
I wait your immediate reply.
Thanks and best regards,
Mark Gyan.
