"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Greeting to you,

This is to officially notify you on the unclaimed fund left by
Engineer Hesham, who was burnt to death with his entire family on 15th
of September 2010, in when their car collided with a trailer while
they are coming back from a holiday in a resort off the town.

As the personal lawyer of the deceased and the trustee of his estate,
I am contacting you believing that you are his relatives because he is
from your country and he share the same last name with you so if you
response I can present you for the claim of US$18.3 million he left in
a bank here in our country. Reply for more details I will inform you
more once I receive positive response from you.

May his soul rest in peace Amen
