"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Subject: Urgent Response

Dear Friend/Email Owner,

I am Mr. John Williams, an American Citizen, 48 years Old. I reside here
at No: 137 Tarentaal Street Kremetart Giyani Limpopo South Africa with my
family. We are thinking of relocating since I am now rich. I’m one of
those that won Lottery prize from London United Kingdom many years ago and
they refused to pay me, I had paid over R270,000.00 (Two Hundred and
Seventy Thousand South Africa Rand), while trying to get my payment all to
no avail.

So, I decided to travel down to London United Kingdom to the UK Lottery
Award Centre, and I was directed to meet Barrister Charles L. Davis a
Scottish Citizen, who is the member of UK Lottery Award Payment Committee,
and I contacted him and he explained everything to me. He said whoever is
contacting us through emails all this while are fake.

He took me to the paying bank for the claim of my Winning/ Inheritance
Funds payment. Right now I am the most happiest man on earth because I
have received my Winning/ Inheritance Funds of R5,350,000.00(Five Million
Three Hundred and Fifty Thousand South Africa Rands). Moreover, Barrister
Charles L. Davis, showed me the full information’s of those that are yet
to receive their payments and I saw your name and email address and
country name (South Africa) as one of the beneficiaries, that is why I
decided to email you to stop dealing with those people, they are not with
your fund, they are only making money out of you. I will advise you to
contact Barrister. Charles L. Davis. You have to contact him directly on
this information below.

Contact: Barrister Charles L. Davis.
(Lottery Award Payment Committee)
(London United Kingdom)
Contact Email: charleslarrydavis@lawyer.com
Mobile Number: +44-703-174-8557
Office lines: +44-703-174-3861

You really have to stop dealing with those people that are contacting you
and telling you that your fund is with them, it is not in anyway with
them, they are only taking advantage of you and they will dry you up until
you have nothing. The only money I paid after I met Barrister. Charles L.
Davis was just GBP300 British Pounds, which is equivalent to R4,520 for
the paper works, take note of that.

Note: Telling you to pay for Transfer Fees, Bank Charges, ATM Card
delivery or Courier Charge etc, that is all nothing but lies, I repeat the
only money you will have to pay and Which I also paid is GBP300 British
Pounds for the Administrative/Endorsement Charge as imposed by the
Government and your Winning/ Inheritance Funds will be pay to you in any
way you want it to be.

Contact Barrister. Charles L. Davis, if you cannot be able to travel to
London-UK, due to your business or whatever, then he will advice you on
what to do next, maybe he will want you to send him copies of your ID or
Passport to prove that you are the rightful beneficiary of the funds, then
you tell him how you want your fund to be paid to you.

Once again stop contacting those people, I will advise you to contact
Barrister. Charles L. Davis so that he can help you to deliver your fund
instead of dealing with those liars that will be turning you around asking
for different kinds of money to complete your transaction.

Thank You and Be Blessed.

Mr. John Williams.
