"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Good day friend,

May I crave for your indulgence to introduce myself to you. My name is Mrs Julie Heselden from Leeds, United Kingdom. You may know my last name through my late husband's popularity in the global business world. Well I am the wife of late Jimi Heselden, Jimi is a British business multimillionaire who died in a segway accident sometime in 2010.

Jimi Heselden is a known a philanthropist while alive and the family wishes to continue with his legacy. Before Jimi died he made a list of 37 persons from different parts of the world who are to receive £1,000,000.00 (One Million British Pounds Sterling) donation from his wealth. He used a very unconventional but interesting method to select beneficiaries that will receive the will donation of £1,000,000.00 each. He approached Priests, Ambassadors, Security Chiefs, government diplomats and Mayors of cities asking them to nominate a beneficiary's name and that it should be kept secret from the lucky nominee.

In your case, a government diplomat from your country nominated you and his name is kept secret from you. The reason is because that is how Jimi Heselden wanted it. A bit of surprise and interesting. You will be receiving a £1,000,000.00 donation from Jimi Heselden's family. We do not look forward to you thanking us. We are rather thankful that you accepted our gesture.

Jimi trusted a friend in his entire lifetime and he entrusted the disbursement of beneficiary's bank check to that man. His name is Sir James David Bevan KCMG the British High Commissioner to India. All the recipients of our donation have their certified donation bank check mailed to them through Sir James David Bevan KCMG.

A bank check of £1,000,000.00 has been signed in your favor and it is kept in the custody of Sir James David Bevan the British High Commissioner to India.

You are advised to contact Sir James David Bevan as soon as you receive the e-mail so that he can mail your bank check to you without delay.

Make sure you try to assist the poor around you when you have cashed your £1,000,000.00 bank check.
