"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Some comments by the Scam-O-Matic about the following email:

This email uses a separate reply address that is different from the sender address. Spammers use this to get replies even when the original spam sending accounts have been shut down. Also, sometimes the sender addresses are legitimate looking but fake and only the reply address is actually an email account controlled by the scammers.
The following phrases in this message should put you on alert:
- "million us dollars" (they want you to be blinded by the prospect of quick money, but the only money that ever changes hands in 419 scams is from you to the criminals)
- ",000,000" (they want you to be blinded by the prospect of quick money, but the only money that ever changes hands in 419 scams is from you to the criminals)
- "god fearing " (scammers in West Africa like to use religious phrases)

I am Mrs Nancy William,a wife of late Roland William was the manager of Tata Companies here in Indian we were married with two kids,Jane and Susan My husband Roland is an international business man i lost my husband and one kid Jane had a motor accident and died in June 5 2013 here in Indian ,Susan and i were in the UK due to the shock i collapse, i was rushed to the hospital and admitted for two weeks,the doctor said i can not live more than four months because i have cancer of the heart which
i have been suffering from, and the BANK have called and ask who will be nest of kin to claim my husbands money,which is about $13 ,000,000,00 million US dollars, as it is now Susan is not yet up to age and i am an orphan,this is why i am looking for a GOD fearing person who will stand for my daughter in collecting this money from the bank, and now my husband's family are all after this money in my husbands bank account and and my child is just 5 years old and she can not sign this document from the bank because she is too small, if you can help me please get back to me.thanks and GOD bless.
