"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Subject: My Pleasure To Write You

Greetings my Dear,
Its quite obvious that this is our first point of contact but am very
optimistic that it is for good.
My name is Mrs Lilith Khaled, a Syrian citizen seeking asylum in Turkey.
Prior to the current political unrest in my country Syria and according to
United Nations (UN) figures, the death toll of Syrians as of February 2013
is likely approaching 70,000 up almost 10,000 from the start of the year,
with many more injured or held in custody. I was a top government official
in the ministry of finance, I was opportune to deposit some funds in a
foreign account which amounts up to $25 million dollars, Owing to the
geopolitical crisis that has created an unstable economy in my country, I
have decided to travel down to your country and not to go back to my
country Syria because I have lost all my family to cruel sporadic
shootings of the government troops, now am contacting you to help me move
this fund to your country and you decide on a better prolific investment
project we can venture in. For more information about the situation in my
country (Syria), you can kindly look through google.

Note: There are practically no risk involved, it will be a bank to bank
transfer, all I need from you is your trust and to stand claim as the
beneficiary of this fund so that the bank can order the transfer to your
designated bank account.

If you accept this offer to work with me, I will appreciate it very much,
opportunity comes but once and if lost, it can never be regained again. I
wait for your considerable reply via this my email
lilithkhaled@yahoo.com.hk

Thank you.
Mrs, Lilith Khaled.
