"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Subject: my compensation for you

How're you doing?

I just want to let you know that was successful in getting the US$1.8 million transferred with the cooperation of a new partner from China.

Presently I'm in Beijing, China for my daughter's medical surgery, and for investment. Meanwhile, I didn't forget your past efforts and attempts to assist me in transfering those funds although you disappointed me. But I still want to reward you for your past efforts.

I believe in God, and I know you tried your best, and it's my wish to reward you. Please contact a very good Christian sister of mine in London, her name is Mrs. Jesse Geoffery, her email address (jes_34geo@hotmail.com), and ask her to send you the cashier check of $150,000.00 (Hundred & fifty thousand US Dollars) which I kept for your compensation, for all the past efforts and attempts to assist me in this business. I appreciate the stress you went through just to help me. I say, thank you.

Please bear with me that I cannot give you more than that. I appreciated your efforts at that time very much. so feel free and get in touched with Mrs. Jesse, and follow her instruction to receive your check. I'm very busy right now in China, because there are some industrial development projects which I'm working on with the new partner, so I may not have time to response as I will be going back to site in a remote area where we got land allocation for the industrial complex.

With Best Regards,

Mike
