"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Subject: Affiliate Trustee

It is with great privilege and utmost respect that I have undertaken to request for a partnership from you, I would crave your indulgence and ask that you take this very seriously and not consider it as one of those sorts. My colleagues and I have decided to seek a confidential co-operation with you in re-profiling transaction which we want kept safely overseas under your supervision and do trust that you will treat it with utmost maturity.

In my Department where I work as a Director of Audit and Project Implementation and with the co-operation of two other senior officials, we have in our possession an overdue payment in which we require an assistance of a foreigner to be able to reassign abroad.

The said funds represent an excess of the total contract value executed on behalf of my Department by a foreign contracting firm, though the actual contract cost has been paid out to the original contractor. I have the authority of my partners involved to negotiate reparation should you be willing to give us the necessary assistance and co-operation to carry out this business.

The business is completely safe and secure so long it is treated with utmost discretion. It does not matter whether you or your company does contract projects, as a transfer of privileges will be secured in favor of you or your company. Also, your area of business is no barrier to the successful execution of this transaction. I have reposed my confidence in looking forward to hear from you.

Kindly notify me by email address: bakeuwanga@gmail.com For further details upon your acceptance of this proposal, as I may not be available because of my very busy schedule and would definitely get back to you.

Thank you for your anticipated co-operation.

Regards,

Engr. Bake Uwanga.
