"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Subject: My Dear, please help

Hello Dear
I am Ms. Jamilia Muhhammad, a Libyan national but born and raised in the United States as an Orphan and wife of one of the loyalist to the late Libyan leader; Col. Mummar Gaddafi who was killed during the 9 months Libya civil war. My Husband, who was arrested and killed by the members of Libyan National Transitional Council. As the result of my husband death, I had escape to an isolated place but my husband being a loyalist and part of the formal government of Col. Gaddafi made and left a huge fund for me which he manage to send and deposit with a Security Company in West Africa (Ghana) to be precise. He had to send the fund out when the crisis started earlier February 2011, I guess, he for-saw what was going to happen.
At the moment, I'm currently sick with brain and lung cancer. I live in the Hospital where I'm taking treatment but my health is in a very deteriorating stage and Doctors say that I have but a few months to live, this is because the cancer has gotten to a very bad stage and the chemotherapy and radiotherapy are no longer working.
Consequently, my status/position of the present state does not permit me to open an account or run any huge financial business at the moment, because the current Libya government is still searching and hunting down the families of loyalist to the late Libyan Leader. This is main reason why I cannot claim or manage this fund and it is why I'm contacting you to claim, manage and investment the fund.
All necessary Legal documents will be changed to your name to enable the release of the funds to you by the fin. Company. Your assistance will enable me invest the funds in your country. But before we proceed you will promise me that you will not betray or abscond with the funds when it eventually released to you.  It is my last wish to see that 60% of this money be used to build a Motherless Home I do not a place to call a home, 30% for you and 10% for the expenses made at the cause of securing this fund from the Security Company.
If you are interested to help me out, you can get back to me at this email address: ms_jmuhammad@yahoo.com. I shall give all the details of the fund as soon as I hear from you.
I look forward to receiving your prompt response.
Ms. Jamilia Muhammed.
