"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Good Day,

I am Mr. Farag Amadou, from Libya. Your contact was given to me by a UN
Humanitarian worker here in Libya, who told me you are at the Ghana
centre. I am one of the recruited Christian civilians that fought
ceaselessly to oust Moammar Gaddafi,a longtime dictator from power, and I
am the leading troop that first breakthrough to Tripoli and we recovered
from his private villa security Vault the sum of USD$1.2Billion, gold
bars, and I got a share of USD$15.9M, though I lost my parents, and one of
my leg was chopped off by bullet, and I am still admitted in a hospital in
Tripoli, where I am currently receiving treatment now.

I am contacting you to help me receive the above funds. I secured these
funds through my confidant and the funds are lodged in a Finance trust,
and it is time to evacuate it as the agreement I had with the Finance
trust after six (6) months.

This is a personal matter and I have nominated you as the beneficiary of
my funds for investment. You only need to arrive the scene and before
then, I will pass every signed documents exchanged with the Finance trust,
to release the USD$15.9M, to you.

It is in your own hand to manage this project well and in case I die here
in the crisis Libya which is unsafe for any body, please use this money to
assist HIV affected patients, charity homes, and less privileged in the
world.

I believe in absolute secrecy, trust to enter this agreement with you.

I will give you all the needful details as we proceed.

I look forward to your favorable response.

Yours faithfully,

Mr. Farag Amadou.
