"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam
The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.
Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.
Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Some comments by the Scam-O-Matic about the following email:
- This email uses a separate reply address that is different from the sender address. Spammers use this to get replies even when the original spam sending accounts have been shut down. Also, sometimes the sender addresses are legitimate looking but fake and only the reply address is actually an email account controlled by the scammers.
- This email message is a 419 scam. Please see our 419 FAQ for more details on such scams.
- This email lists free webmail addresses. Use of such addresses is typical for scams. Lotteries, banks and any but the smallest of companies do not normally use such addresses. Criminals use them to anonymously send and receive email at Internet cafes.

Subject: Please read this message carefully
Hello dear,
Please read this message carefully and let me know your
mind-set for further information; I got married 23rd of April. 2011
and now seven (7) months pregnant, unfortunately my days and nights are socked
with tears because my beloved husband was involved in Dana Crash here is the
website; http://nigeriafilms.com/news/17676/27/faces-of-sundays-dana-air-crash-victims.html
The greatest pain is that my husbands elder brother has
taking over his property and he is always trying to take advantage of me while
am still mourning my husband, he is very heartless, he is not concerned about
his brothers death only to possess his properties and sleep with his wife. I
will never let him have his way on me over my dead body because my husband was
so nice to me and I must mourn him at least one full year. He chased me away
from my husbands building and now wanting to claim the only money my husband
left behind in microfinance bank but he will never succeed because God is not
at sleep. I was advised to solicit for a good person in foreign country who
will help me receive the money urgently, the two hundred and fifty thousand
dollars USD250,000.00 that my husband left behind is my only hope to take good
care of myself unborn child.
I will be very happy if you will be kind enough to help because
the circumstances surrounding me are getting out of hands and I hope to survive
it. Well then I expect your humane positive reply if possible you can help.
Mrs. Roselyn Wale
Eribake
May the mercy of God envelop me.
