"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

This is to formally bring to your notice that the Contract file in which you appeared as its payment beneficiary has been verified, therefore reconfirm the under listed information for formal approval of the payment of the contract sum [$25Million] by the executive governor of Niger State in your favour: [a] first name and Second name as appeared on your means of identification, nationality / state of origin and address, occupation, sex and marital status, Telephone / Fax #.
Immediately after the approval, the Commission and relevant government agencies will engage you to work out or discuss payment modalities to ensure that the aforementioned amount is released / paid to you within the stipulated time frame in the ACTS through which this Commission was established to carry out this mandate by Niger State Government. Note that, failure to respond within the reasonable time allowed, your file will be bypassed and the Contract amount as appeared therein, recorded as a forfeited / unclaimed fund subsequently.
 
Finally, this is a true mandate and transparent scheme hence, do not regard it as hoax or an attempt to lure you as members of this Commission are men and women of unquestionable characters who would not engage in act of dishonesty.
