"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Subject: Please I need your Assistance

Dear Sir,

My name is Prosper Miobi Gamessou, I am from Ivory Coast. I am senior
pesonal assistant to the minister of Youth affairs and

Employment to Laurent Gbagbo's government Charles Ble Goude. You may have
heard of the serious political problem now going on

in our country resulting from last general election.

The reason I am writing you now is for you to help me secure some money.
There is a deposit of $ 25 million Dollars in a

security company outside Ivory coast. Because of the situation in our
country now coupled with sanctions placed on all

government officials by some foreign countries, it has become completely
impossible for me to access the money in my name or by

anybody related to me, I therefore seek your co-operation to secure this
money. I want you to assist by standing in as my

partner to move the money to your account.

The transaction will be completely free from problems because there is no
third party involved in the money, so you should not

entertain any fear.

You will be entitiled to 40% of the money and 60% will be kept under your
custody for me until the political problem is over.

I won't be receiving calls for now for security reasons. I am making
attempts to escape to a neigbouring country Benin republic

due to the deadly bombardment, when I go there we can then be talking on
phone freely, for now our communications will be

limited to email unless I find time to call. Meanwhile
miprospero_g@yahoo.fr is my alternative email address where we can
communicate.

I am looking for your reply. You can enclose your telephone incase i have
chance to call you on phone.

Best Regards
Mr Miobi
