"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

I have long waited to hear from you since my last correspondence to you to no avail. You had earlier requested for a web link to authenticate that Gen. Franciszek Gagor
(Head of the Army Chief of Staff Poland) died truly in a plane crash involving Dagestan Airlines Tupolev Tu-154 which occurred at Smolensk airport in western Russia on 10th April 2010, but I have since sent this to you yet you have not responded.
All the same, be informed that everything to facilitate the successful transfer of GBP26, 400, 000 pounds (Twenty Six million Four hundred thousand British Pounds sterling) to your desired account is set.
I have already made application in your name which you will fill and submit at the relevant unit of the bank as the next of kin of the deceased.
