"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam
The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.
Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.
Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Some comments by the Scam-O-Matic about the following email:
- This email uses a separate reply address that is different from the sender address. Spammers use this to get replies even when the original spam sending accounts have been shut down. Also, sometimes the sender addresses are legitimate looking but fake and only the reply address is actually an email account controlled by the scammers.

Intending workers will be employed by the Bertelsmann Foundation to be its representative in the applicants home country and
the applicant must be committed in ensuring that Hiv/Aids awareness campaign is duly made public by organising
seminars/lectures to the public to be sponsored by the foundation.
Intending applicant will be required to attend a 2 weeks course on Hiv/Aids awareness campaign in Germany to be sponsored by
the foundation.
The intending applicants must be willing to meet up the below requirements before applying for this job:
(A)A minimum of Credit in English (GSCE) or equivalent in individual applicant national language
(B)Sound communication skills to address the public.
(C)Applicant must be 25 years and above
(D)A valid international passport.
(E)Applicant must obtain non-defection affidavit from Amtsgericht(High Court) through German based solicitor appointed by the
recruiting firm.
Intending applicant must be willing to enter into a Non- defection agreement with Bertelsmann Foundation that he/she must
return back to his/her country to carry on with his/her new duty as the country representative of Bertelsmann Foundation at
the end of the job interview and 2 weeks orientation/training programm in Germany.
This agreement is to guide against defection as a result of previous experience encountered with different applicants whereby
the defected after the course or fail to attend the course on arrival in Germany.
