"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Dear Friend,

My name is Col. Ali, Afghan National Army Officer. Please read this mail carefully and understand it.

During our military offensive in South Waziristan against the Jundollah Militant Group, my men and I found over $161 million in (JMG) hideout in south waziristan.

We sent over $ 101 million back to the Afghan government after counting in a classified location, but we also kept $60 million behind for ourselves and subsequently shared among top ranks personals.

My share from the $ 60 Million was $ 9.5 Million which i request for your speed assistance to help evacuate my share of the money outside Pakistan for Investment.

I find it very difficult to hide such amount inside my country.

I have found a secured way of getting the funds to you as soon as you indicate your interest to help. To show my gratification, I shall offer you 25% of the total amount.

One passionate appeal I will make to you is not to discuss this letter with a third party, should you have reasons to decline this offer, Please destroy this e-mail.

Waiting to read from you soon.

Thanks

Col. Ali.
