"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Good Day,

I am the Account & Audit Manager of our bank. I want to transfer an abandon
excess fund in a dollar account.

I discovered this fund during our auditing for the year, The fund was deposited
in a dollar account for the past 10 years ago without any one for the claim.

I started my investigation by sourcing for the recipient of owner of the fund, all
efforts proved abortive. I now seek to myself that similar case like this issue has
occurred in the past, whereby our General Manager of our branch claim ownership
of the fund by making use of the fund for personally interest.

After much conclusion, l decided to contact you for assistance, to front you for the claim
of the fund, for the main fact that, the account name bear the same last name with you.

I need your help and also i will like to invest part of my share in real estates and setting up
a lucrative profit investment purpose in your country in a sharing profit ratio of 60-40.

Thanks, and hoping to hear from you,
Charles Foster.
