"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Subject: Hello My Dear

Hello My Dear

With hope that this mail reaches you in good condition of health, My name is Cynthia Adams; I am an adopted Daughter of late Dr. Obed Adams the formal Minister of Health in the Republic of Cote DIvoire, who died along side with his wife on the 16th November 2009, at the age of 69.

At the moment we have finalized with the funeral ceremony of my late father, although our family has turned their back on me just because I was adopted by my late father Dr. Obed Adams who has giving me so much love and care during his life time, this is just because they are jealous of me and they no longer wanted me to be a part of their family.

Please if you may permit me, I have an important issue that I need to discuss with you, it is something that is in connection to my late father and I, it may benefit you also in one way or the other because I also felt that it would be better for me to relate the issue with somebody outside my country so that I will be able to secure the inheritance belonging to me and also using the opportunity to leave this country forever as my late fathers family members doesnt need me anymore in their family as I do not have any parents and I do not wish to go back to the Warfare (Motherless Baby Home) where my late parents adopted me so I need to do something to help myself.

Because of the confidence my late father had in me before his death he told me this which I am telling you now that he has a sum of Six Million United States Dollars (USD$6M) deposited in a bank here in his name and he made me to understand that he used me as his next of kin.

Hence I have the intention that if you could be able to consider my request and allow me to explain more about this issue to you, my life may be reformed and then I will have a new beginning and hope in life through your guidance and advice and God will always remember you for helping me.

Moreover, I am willing to offer you 15% of the total sum as compensation for effort input after the successful transfer of this fund into your own Bank account for investment thereof.

Awaiting to hear from you soon, Thanks and God bless you.

Yours Sincerely

Miss Cynthia Adams
