"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Some comments by the Scam-O-Matic about the following email:

This email uses a separate reply address that is different from the sender address. Spammers use this to get replies even when the original spam sending accounts have been shut down. Also, sometimes the sender addresses are legitimate looking but fake and only the reply address is actually an email account controlled by the scammers.

This email lists mobile phone numbers. Use of such numbers is typical for scams because they allow criminals to conceal their true location. They can receive calls in an Internet cafe from where they send you emails, while pretending to be in some office.

Going through our records,it came to our knowledge that the great philanthropist, Late Dr.Maurice Wohl One of our clients who is now deceased,left for someone who bears your name his entire Legacy and Cash deposit valued Three million Euros(3,000,000.00)Euros in his Will for a Humanitarian and Charity Work.The truth is that,we do not know if you are the beneficiary or not.

Late Dr. Maurice Wohl made a Commander of the British Empire (CBE), was a self-made real estate magnate, and was known worldwide for his generosity. He was the president of the Jerusalem Great Synagogue, and also a benefactor of Bar-Ilan University, Shaare Zedek Medical Center in Jerusalem and Ichilov Hospital in Tel Aviv, as well as many other Israeli institutions. He is a very dedicated Christian who loved to be involved in charitable projects not because it gave him prestige and fame but because it was the right thing to do.Helping to alleviate the sufferings of a lot of people and families that needed the support and assistance was his aim.He thus earned numerous Humanitarian awards during his lifetime for his great philanthropy.For two years now, we have tried to locate the person on the Will without success hence l am contacting you.

Can you please get back to us urgently if you are the person with your full name,address age, occupation phone and fax numbers for proper verication or can we present you to the bank as the beneficiary whom this estate was bequetted to so that we can assist you process the claim of this fund through the bank where the legacy is been deposited.
