"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Dear Friend,

I have been waiting for you to contact me for your Bank Draft valued at
$1.5Million United States Dollars, but I did not hear from you since that
time so i went and deposit it to Courier Delivery Company here in Cotonou
Benin Republic because i waited enough to hear from you so that it can be
wired through Credit Bank Plc Benin, but due to late delay i deposit it with
the FedEx delivery services, as I will be out of the country for 6 Months
Course and I will not come back till end of September 2008.

I have paid for the delivery charges & insurance fee meanwhile the only fee
to pay again is their security keeping fee which is $195.00.I would have
paid the security keeping fee but the shipment officer refuse and said that
it is against there operational regulation as they don't know when you will
communicate them for delivery and also in case of demourrage.

Therefore i will advise you to contact them with their contact
information as listed below to avoid them increase their security fee
because i
package the bank draft inside a magazine then i told the shipment officer
that i
have an African magazine to deliver to my friend in United State of
America so that no delay unless you delay to send their fee of $195.00. So

parcel.

Note. The FedEx delivery services don't know the contents of the parcel
I registered it as an African magazine they don't know it contents bank
