Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Dear Friend,My name is Ambassador Kennedy Williams,Director Foreign Payment Consult,a division of the African Union(AU).Please do not be embarrassed with the content of this mail as it will ever change your life and mine for ever.In the course of doing my job which is to pay foreign contract/inheritance beneficiaries,i sent some diplomats to deliver a cash delivery to one Graham Baldock of St Helena California in USA.The content of the consignment is US$15 Million in cash.The diplomats who are on this assignment now are presently in the USA,Washington DC.They do not know the content of what is contained in the consignments.On getting to USA,it was discovered that Graham Baldock has sinced died of a car crash with his entire family leaving no claimant to these two consignment.My deal with you now is for you to immediately partner with me so that you can stand in as the next of kin to Graham Baldock.I have already told the diplomats to hold on still in the USA that i am still trying to get in touch with a relation of his.If you are interested in this deal,i will want you to immediately do the following to enable them to start coming down to your home to deliver the consignments which the knowledge of the contents will only be between the two of us alone.The things i want you to do now is to forward to me without delay the following requests.(1) An assurance in writing that you will keep this transaction very confidential and secret and that you will not double-cross me as soon as the diplomats deliver the consignment to you.(2)Your full names,physical address where the consignment will be delivered,(3)Your confidential 24 hours telephone,fax and cell phone numbers which are secured for your use alone,(4)Your job type,age,maritalstaus and nationality.Once i get these information now via email,i will immediately procure the relevant documents in your name to establish you as the next of kin to Graham Baldock,and the documents will also be sent to you and the diplomats in USA and they will come and deliver the consignment accordingly to your doorstep.On receiving your response,i will forward to you the contact telephone,fax of the diplomats in USA and where they are loding now.I want you to immediatelyrespond to this mail so that the organisation (AU) will not ask them to start coming back with the consignment having not seen the owner and that will mean applying the money to buy arms and ammunitions to prosecute wars and terrorism within the African continent which i do not want to happen. Once the consignment is received,i will get you some other supporting documents to enable you move the monies into your bank accounts and i will come down to meet with you for sharing.I propose that you will take 35% of the US$15 Million while you keep 60% for me and 5% will take care of incidental expences we shall incur.Call me now on +234-805-4071442 as soon as you get this mail now so that we can conclude this deal within the next 4-5 days from now.This is completely legal and risk-free as i will get all the documents in your name to establish our mutual claim.RegardsAmbassador Kennedy Williams.
