Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

INTRODUCTON:

I am Alex lawson the former chairman - Contract Award/Execution
Committee of the Liquidified Natural Gas Company of Nigeria (LNGCN). During
my service in Government, I earned some money to the tune of USD12M.
As I left office, the government wanted to confiscate this money, I had
to box the money and ship it through a Diplomatic Conveyance to the
United States of America. As you receive this mail, the Diplomat is
already in the USA.
HOW I GOT YOUR CONTACT:
I got your contact on a discreet search in my quest to get a
trustworthy person like you who can help claim this box and keep it safe and I
need that assistance urgently as the Diplomat will not be staying long in
the USA
PURPOSE OF CONTACTING YOU:
I now want you to stand in as the recipient of the box. Mind you, the
Dplomat do not know the content of this box and he has strict
instructions to deliver the box to you unopened.
You will have to furnish me with your complete information: your full
name, contact address, working telephone and fax numbers and any form of
indentification.
As soon as I receive this information, I will have to forward same to
the Diplomat stating that you are the recipient of the box and he will
contact you and tell you the delivery modalities of the box to you at
any point you want it delivered.

For your assistance, any amount you commit to this transaction you will
have to deduct first and you will take out 30% from the money and keep
the balance safe for me and I will have to come to your country on
your invitation and take my share of the money.
