Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

  • "courier company" (Courier companies mentioned in 419 scams are always fake. They will have you send money to them, but won't deliver anything. )

Subject: URGENT REPLY


Dear madam

I confirm receipt of message. I am diplomatic courier company officer and was directed to deliver this consignment to you. That is the reason why I contacted you in the first place. And you name appears on our system that you are the owner of the consignment I could have want you to come down and see it to your self. But if you can not come send down the charges of 1,600 EURO so that I clear it and deliver to you.
