Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Greetings to you, I know this letter will be strange to you. Am 24 years old from war
country,Ivory Coast.I have been praying to God to give me somebody who will help me with my present condition since i have decided and made up my mind to relocate from here to stay with you in your country to start up my life again as you help me receive this box that is containing My Fathers money in your country.I am the only daughter of my late father and he was in government in Ivory coast for about 3 years untill The Rebels came killing many polititians under the Govt of President laurent gbabo and my father was among one of the people killed during that period because he refused to sponsor and support the Rebels.So with help of some people i have to run away to Senegal for safty and living as refugee.
Things have been ok,untill the killings and political situation become a problem in my country.When my Father was alive,he deposited a trunk box containing the sum of $3.6million united state dollars with a private security company in Senegal.With the
documents issued to him which is on my possession now,the box is registered as family valuables and personal belongings he did this for the security of the Money and till date the security company did not know the true content of the box.He said that he deposited the money to be an inheritance for me in case of emergeny or death, now i have succeded in locating the security company in Senegal and they are saying that i have to provide to them my foriegn partner whom the trunk box will be release to as the beneficiary,according to my late father's instruction and agreement with them or that i should instruct my foriegn partner to contact them,this has been a problem to me because i don't know any one abroad,i have been under going a lot of sufferings in the refugee camp where i have been living since i lost my parents,now i am contacting you to stand for me as my foriegn partner to enable the security company release the trunk box to you as my foriegn partner so that you can help me get out of this refugee camp and come to your country and start a new life.

I have contacted the security company for the claim and retrival of the box in their custody and the director of the security company has agreed and promise to lift the box to my partner through their diplomatic means as soon as i appoint one person since am in refugee camp and am suffering so much.Due to this i want you to act as my partner to receive the consignment box in your country and help to get me out of this refugee camp to meet with in your country as i dont want to trust blindly to lose everything i have inherited from my late father.Thanks and i wait your reply.with all my heart
