Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Dear Rodrick,
I understand what you have gone through but fail to understand or appreciate
you linking such utter dishonesty to the proposal i sent to you. Kindly
correct that notion and desist from such link as it remains an insult to my
person.
I am 68 years old and i dont believe in beating around the bush, i have had
my own fair share of betrayals and mistrust in life but i didnt allow it
break me. Even the current legal suits i am facing now is as a result of
betrayals on the part of my close allies.
I have merely asked you for a service and you should respond with a yes or
no.
If you require more information about the matter and have some questions
that need clarity, then it will be better we speak on the phone but if you
are uncomfortable and unsure of what you are doing, then it is better you
follow your gut feelings and quit communicating.
If your response to this email is anything but your phone number, kindly do
not expect to hear from me again.
Regards,
RK
