"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Subject: Dearest One From Mrs. Sandra Fernandez

Dear One,

My name is Mrs Sandra Fernandez a nationality of Cotdé Ivoire. I am married to late Mr. Nelson Fernandez who worked with Cotdé Ivoire embassy here in Ivory Coast for nine years before he died in  Octorber 2005. We were married for twenty years with a child. My husband  died after a breef illness that lasted  only for  four days. Before his death we were both born again Christians.
When my late husband was alive we deposited the sum of $12Million (twelve Million U.S. Dollars) with one of leading banks here in Cote d'Ivoire . Presently, this money is still with the bank.
Recently my Doctor told me that the stage of my sickness is very complex  this is stage 3 cancer, which I was diogonised of. Having known my condition I decided to donate this fund to Charity.

Please dear, I would want you to assist me and have this fund transfarred into your account and use this fund as I directed herein, 45% of this fund for my only son, 20% for you and 35%  to charity donations, orphanages, research centres. I took this decision because I  have a child that will inherit this money  but he can not carry out this work only alone because I and my late husband decide to use some of the money to  charity donations and leave only 45% for our son to have a better live. Our son is  just 17years old now and beening grow up in africa, he has low mantality and my husbandīs relatives are not happy to seeing him because of the wealth my husbands left for him as the only son. Hence the reason for taking this bold decision and to make sure my son leave this country for your country for the sake of his life.

I am not afraid of death hence I know where I am going to. My dear, I want your telephone communication in this regard because of my health and due to the presence of my late husbands family relatives around me always. Call me or my son, his name is David,  our Telephone number is +22508196170, Immediately you recievd this message. I donīt want any of my husband family relatives to recieve this money. In good faith I am sending you this email.
As soon as I receive your reply I shall give you the contact of the Finance/bank, where the fund is deposited. I will also issue you a letter of authority that will empower you as the new benefficiary to embark on the claim. I want you to always pray for me. My happiness is that I live a life of a worthy woman and I would want you to train up my son in that way.
Any delay in your reply will give me room in seeking for another person for this same purpose.

Please assure me that you will act  accordingly as I stated here. I wait for your urgent reply. My regards to your family.
Remain blessed.
Very Sincirely
Mrs. Sandra N. Fernandez
