The Company was formed with the intent to encompass occupations such as nursery operators, growers, processors, marketers, engineers, wholesalers, retailers, researchers, consultants and other macadamia enthusiasts.
WHAT IS NZ MACADAMIA?
The Macadamia nut is a native of Australia and is a member of the Proteaceae family, related to the NZ Rewarewa. New Zealand provides a special opportunity to grow a
clean healthy quality product. Today, total world macadamia production accounts for less than 2% of the world trade in nuts. New Zealand produces less then 1% of this.
OUR AIMS
The New Zealand Macadamia Company, was founded with the objectives of promoting all aspects of the industry, encouraging the free exchange of ideas and information, and fostering goodwill among members. It aims to develop a vigorous macadamia industry in New Zealand and the world at large which can compete effectively in local and world markets.
OUR GROWTH AND ACHIEVEMENTS
In 1997 when we commernced operations,it was with 12 staff.In 1999,it was 39 staff strength.But today our staff have grown to be 107 perssonel.
Another area of growth of interest id our annual returns on investment (profit) which was 5000USD in 1997.Today,our profit and return on investment is more than 522%
