"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Manager Bill and Exchange Department
Eco Bank Main Office
I6 Rue De Commerce;B.P,359
Lome-Togo

Dear Sir ,

I am Mr.Jonathan Ani, Manager Bills and Exchanges at Foreign Remittance
Department of ECO BANK LOME TOGO. I am writing following the information
about you through the International web directory and wish you are reliable
and capable to champion this business opportunity.

In my department, we discovered an abandoned sum of (US$9.5million)Nine
million, five hundred thousand United State dollars). in an alloted vault in
this bank, that belongs to a national of your country, who used to work with
an Oil Firm here in Lome Togo. before his involvement in a car accident
together with his entire family On the 21st of April 2002 along Nouvissi
express Road Kara Lome-Togo and Unfortunately he lost his lives in the
event of the accident.

Since we got informations about his death, we have been expecting his next
of kin to come over and claims his money because we cannot release it unless
somebody officialy apply for it as the next of kin or beneficiary as
indicated in our banking guidelines and policy but unfortunately we learnt
that all his supposed next-of-kin or relation was involve in the accident

It's upon this discovery that I and now decided to make this business
proposal to you since both of you are from the same country so that the
proceed of this money could be release and transfer into your account as the
bonafide beneficiary since no body is coming forth for it, my reason is that
i don't want this money to go into our Bank treasury as unclaimed bill .

The request for a foreigner as next-of-kin in this regard occassioned the
fact that the decease was a foreigner and a Togoleise can not stand as
next-of-kin to a foreigner.I agree that 30 % of this money will be for you
as foreign partner in respect to the provision of a foreign account, 10%
will be set aside for sundry expenses we might incured during the course of
this transfer and 60 % would be for me.

Thereafter successful transfer of the money into your account I will visit
your country for disbursement according to the percentages indicated. To
enable immediate claim of this fund you must apply first to our bank as the
bonafide beneficiary to the decease.

Upon receipt of your reply I will send to you by fax or e-mail, the text
of application which you will transcribe to your order and send to our bank
for immidate procession of your claim. I will not fail to bring to your
notice that this transaction is 100% risky free that you should not
entertain in any atom of fear as all required arrangements has beign made
for smooth operation of the transfer.

Your immediate reply will be highly appreciated.

Best regards and remain bless.

Yours faithfully,
Mr. Jonathan Ani
