Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Regards your private tax liabilities, I am sure you can work it out with the IRS, they may take a percentage of your winning depending on your country's tax policy.
I see no reason why you should panic about the tax, so long as you will not evade the IRS.
About your other personal question, I must say that I am a casual drinker, Vodka Smirnoff is my favourite and I do play some Bingo once in a while. Owing to the fact that I am married with kids, I cannot afford to be irresponsible.
