As the war in the West African country of Liberia progressed, president Taylor had no other option than to vacate office on the orders of president Bush and finally an asylum agreement was signed between him and the Nigerian government officials so that peace would return in Liberia.
After the asylum agreement was signed, president Taylor had to leave Liberia on August 12 2003 and fled to Nigeria with most of us who were his special assistants on various offices including some family relations and hangers-on.
On getting to Nigeria, we were also made to sign other agreement both from president Taylor and from the Nigerian officials because of the nature of the condition and the circumstances that brought us here.
I used to be the special assistant to President Taylor on financial matters. This means that I was the one who took charge of all his estates and foreign accounts matters.
Now, you know very well that President Taylor is facing trial at the UNITED NATIONS WAR CRIMES TRIBURNAL for his role in the war in some African countries as well as crimes against humanity.
As a witness to what happened in some West African countries during the reign of Taylor, I am totally aware that President Taylor can never escape life jail in this matter. There is no miracle that will save him because there is a mountain of evidence against him.
Now, the purpose of writing you this mail is to ask for your partnership in a business I do like to carry out with you.
After coming here that is Nigeria and some months later, I was able to discover that Nigeria is a real big economy where businesses will triumph a lot. I decided to invest into business here.
There is this bank here called Allied Bank of Nigeria, which is now distressed. The corporate headquarters of this bank, which is a sky scrapper, is out for sale by the Nigerian government through its auctioneer known as the Nigerian Deposit Insurance Corporation NDIC.
The reason for the sale of this property is to make sure that depositors to the distressed bank will be given back their funds, which will be realized from the sale of the building.
I am interested to purchase this building and after which I will convert it to a five star hotel.
The problem I am facing here is the asylum agreement which does not
permit me to travel or to do business personally as I am banned for now from doing so because of the reasons given above.
The money to be used to purchase this property is lodged in a foreign account overseas which was meant to be president Taylor’s money but I cornered it for my own personal use.
Please what I want now is to work with you as a team and you will be there as my foreign trustee.
I will use your names and contacts through my contact man locally here in Nigeria and buy the property and after which I will compensate you by making you the DEPUTY CEO/CHAIRMAN of the hotel when it becomes operational and you will first be presented as the chairman and the CEO until my ban is lifted.
