"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Dear Mr Foerster,

Thanks for your email. I am well and hope you are doing fine as well?

As explained in our first email, you email address was gotten from the internet, all 10 winning addresses were randomly selected from a batch of 50,000,000 international emails. Your email address emerged along side 9 others as a 2nd category winner in this year's Annual Free Lotto Draw.

So, we need you to carefully complete the claims application form and return to our office for the processing, issuing of your winning certificate and approval of your payment.

You will either receive the payment by cheque or bank to bank wire transfer the choice is yours. You will be required to come down here to South Africa to our office to get the approval document from the bank as an international participant, bring to our office and sign for your money.

However, if you are unable to come down here as requested, then, it is pertinent for you to contact our accreditted attorney to help you represent you and work on your behalf so that you can receive your payment through him.

His details are as follows:

WILLIAM SMITH BALDEN (ESQ)
TEL:+27-78-269-8148
FAX:+27-11-507-6805
EMAIL: smith_partners@yahoo.co.in

You should hasten up because you have limited time to claim your winning, after the deadline, all unclaimed funds will be taken to the next draw, there is your opportunity.

Thanks.

Yours Truly,

David Komo
