"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Subject: FROM NORA OBASEKI! (PLEASE FEEL FREE TO RESPOND THROUGH THIS MY ALTERNATIVE EMAIL).

Attn: VICTIMNAME
Dear Sir,
Thank you for responding to my proposal with interest.
Every thing about my intention was already contained in my first letter to you. The major role that I want you to play is to recieve the money from the security company on my behalf as my foreign partner. After that, I will come over to meet you in your country so that you will help me and advice me on the best way to invest my own part of the money.
I would even prefer if you will be able to meet me in Ghana which is our neighbouring country so that we will know each other face to face. In that case I will arrange with the security company to bring the money over to Ghana so that you will recieve it there and open an account in a bank to deposit for onward transfer to your nominated account. This is a suggestion any way!
Also note that I will hence forth introduce my personal assistant, Gabby uchenna to you because he is the only one that knows about this matter with me and he may be contacting you very soon as he will be incharge of the communication. I am doing my best to be at the back ground so that no one can trace any thing to me.
Please let me know how you feel at this juncture. The security company can also bring the funds to you in Europe through diplomatic means but I may not be available to meet with you immediately because the government does not allow me free movement for now because of the position of my husband. But I can follow secrete route to come over to Ghana to meet with you.
Please let me know if there is any other thing you want to know about this matter. It will also please me if you can give me your phone number so that I can call you for discussion.
Best regards,
Mr. Nora Obaseki.
