Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Subject: From Deo.

Dear Sir,
I am one of the personal aides to president Charles Taylor of Liberia who is
presently living in Nigeria on political asylum. Sir, pls I need your
foreign partnership to assist me invest in your country. I have interest in
real estate management and any other profitable business you may wish to
recommend for me.

I have with me the sum of $14.5m for this project,I realized this funds from
inflated contracts while in Government during the administration of
President Charles Taylor. I can assure you that this project will bring us
together for a long lasting relationship.

The money it is now in Security & finance Company in Europe. I used perfect
diplomatic services to move the money to Europe during the time U.N DEAD
LINE given to Mr Taylor. My request at this Moment is for you to assist me
and claimi the money from the security company because they had issued me a
Notice to claim the Consignment within (21days) or have the boxes
confiscated.
I expect your reply accordingly.
