Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

WE FLEW DOWN ON THE 9TH OF AUGUST, 2005. TO ASSUME WORK ON THE SAID PIECE OF LAND.AFTER SIGNING ALL NECESSARY DOCUMENTS WITH THE NIGERIAN NATIONAL PETROLEUM CORPORATION (NNPC). WE DISCOVERED THAT THE TOTAL EXPANSE OF LAND TO BE EXPLORED IS FAR GREATER THAN WHAT WE BARGAINED FOR, THE ACTUAL MEASUREMENT OF THE LAND HAVING THIS NATURAL RESOURCES IS 30 SQKMs.

 

WE ARE ALMOST RUNNING OUT OF FUNDS BECAUSE WE HAVE LONG EXCEEDED OUR STAY HERE IN NIGERIA. OUR HOTEL BILLS, TRANSPORTATION AND MISCELLANOUS EXPENSES HAVE BEEN PILING UP PENDING WHEN WE ARE ABLE TO GET FUNDS. IT'S EVEN IMPOSSIBLE FOR US TO TRAVEL BACK TO CANADA.
