"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Read more about such scams here or in our 419 FAQ. Use the Scam-O-Matic to verify suspect emails.

Dearest:One,
We write you this message under strict recommendation and in good
faith. We are sorry at the perceived confusion you may have by receiving
this letter from us since we have not previously met.
To be Straight, My name is Aruna Kute and my sister is Loise we are
only daughter and son of late Chief and
Mrs Nkumeh Kute. My father was a very wealthy cocoa merchant based in
Abidjan, the economic capital of Ivory Coast before he was poisoned to
death by his business associates on one of their outing to discuss on a
business deal.

When our mother died on the 21St
October 1994, our father took us so special because we was
motherless. Before the death of our father on 29th
April 2004 in a private hospital here in Abidjan. He
secretly called us on his bedside and told us that
he has a sum of US$ 3,500,000 ( Three million, five
hundred thousand, United states Dollars) left in a security company
here in Abidjan,Cote d'Ivoire .

That he used my name as his son for the next of kin in the deposit of
the fund.
He also explained to me that it was because of
this wealth that he was poisoned by his business associates, that we
should seek for a foreign partner
in a country of our choice where we will transfer this
money and use it for investment purpose, (such as real estate
management).
please, we are honourably seeking your assistance in the following
ways:
To provide a bank account where this money would be transferred into,
or to come and carry the money physically from the security company ,
to serve as the guardian of this fund since I am only 18 years and my
sister is 15 years to make arrangement for us to come over to your
country after the money has been transferred.

Furthermore, you can indicate your option towards
assisting us as I believe that this transaction
would be concluded in no time immemdiatley you signify
interest to assist us.

God must surely reward you hndred fold , your pocket will never dry,
as rain fall that is how your blessing will rain,
Share your food with the hungry and open your homes to the homeless
poor, give clothes to those who have nothing to wear, and do not refuse to
help your own people, then the favour of the Lord will shine on you
like the morning sun, and your wounds will be quickly healed,
He will allways be with you to save you, his presence will protect you
on every side, when you pray, he will answer you, when you call to
him,he will respond, if you put an end to oppression to every gesture of
contempt,if you give food to the hungry and satisty those who are in
need, then the darkness around you will turn to the brightness of noon ,
and he will always guide you and satisfy you with good things, he will
keep you strong and well, you will be like a garden that
has plenty of water like a spring of water that never goes dry,

We will appreciate your early
response. Anticiapting to hear from you soon.
