Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Dear Sir/Madam,
I am Mr.Williams Miller, I am a Nigerian based Farmer who deals in raw
materials and cash crops and export into Europe/America. I are searching for
representatives who can work with us here to establish a medium of getting
to our costumers in America/Europe as well as making payments through you to
us. Your job will be principally to stand in as our middle man which will
entail collecting payments, advertising our products (if you can) or
sourcing for buyers. If you are interested in working with us here at the
farm, indicate by mailing me. I am willing to pay 10% on all successful
sales. Subject to your satisfaction you will be given the opportunity to
re-negotiate the manner by which i will pay for your services as our
representative. If you are willing to do this, respond back to my private
