My dear Friend,
I hope you will not receive this proposal too surprising. I am a
Liberian and a cabinet member of President Charles Taylor's administration.
I am presently in Calabar in Nigeria under political asylum status granted
to me because of the on going war in Liberia.
I have secured the sum of $20.4M (TWENTY MILLION AND FOUR HUNDRED
THOUSAND UNITED STATE DOLLARS) through an International Finance company
in Europe whose information I will pass on to you as soon as I get your
reply.
The money was originally meant for the purchase of arms and
ammunition to fight the rebel groups in Liberia but from the look of things
it is like we cannot continue with the war because of the intervention of
well meaning world leaders and other well meaning individuals in the continent
on the need to maintain peace .As a result of the present development, I
had no need to continue with one already pre-arranged shipment which was
directly under my control, I now cornered the money for personal investment
without the knowledge of my superiors who has concluded plans on the shipment
of this arms and ammunitions before now, but with the recent happening I
puntured this by my clear claims that this arms on it was seized and therefore
confiscated and this was long accepted even before the isuue of our going
on exile was agreed on. This I made up to conviniently keep this money safe
and out of suspicion of any kind. So as you read this, this money is safely
lodged in a fiance security company in london waiting for your action, consent,
understanding and trust to enable this fund to be transfered to your nominated
account within the next nine working days. Iam really taking this actions
now because of the hte recent developmet in London which has made it highly
unsafe keeping this money there with the series terrorist attacks almost
every 2 weeks intervals.
