"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Subject: GOODNEWS NOTIFICATION!!!


ATTN:

We are glad to inform you that you emerged as one of the lucky winners in
the
"Save Amina" lottery . Your email address entry was picked by our
internet web site collators in recognition of your patronage to the
Internet services.In the final draw, your email address was attached
to ticket number 023-0148-790-459, with serial number 5073-11, which drew
the
lucky numbers 43-11-44-37-10-43, and consequently won the lottery in
the 3rd category. Thus, you have won yourself the prize money of
1,000,000 pounds !!!

"The Save Amina " lottery was initiated in Berkshire
England, on 28th of september 2002, to help raise funds to fight against
women
right discrimination in third world countries. Amina Lawal was sentenced
to death by stoning for bearing a child out of wedlock, by an Islamic
Sharia court in Zamfara. The proceeds from this lottery will be used
to help combat this prevailing scourge in Africa, the Middle East, and Asia
