Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Angola along with other top officers of unita. Please don’t be surprise to
read from me as we have not meet before. But I am optimistic that you will
help me out hence I decided to write you.
Actually, my purpose of writing you is to solicit for your assistance in
realizing a dream, and that borders on recieving some money into your
custody as well as
assisting my family to come over to your coutry but before we start to
pursue the mentioned request I wish to inform you that my late husband
deposited some
funds $8 ,000.000 million US dollars with a finance and security company.
The funds were meant to establish some foreign investment, but as he did not
live to actualize it we want to live our life out side africa as well as
give my children good education. As now we are on temporary asylum in
cental Africa pending when we would get necessary documents and travel to

years.
