"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

DEAR/Sir/Madam,

Greeting to you, you be surprise how this email got to you, yes is just
that I checked for email addresses on the net to get to you so don?t be
surprise at all. Well I am the C.E.O of CAREWORLD FOUNDATION I take care
of the of children on the street as in less privilege children so that they
can have a better future. I have been on this for about 5 years now. I am
a citizen of the federal republic of Nigeria and my names are Bro Sam John
Otuba Akinola . I will need you to support me on the race to make a better
world for the less privilege. Because the government of this country has
no plan and don?t care for there welfare. So why we not join hands together
to build a better place for this once, we never can tell they may be the
once to change the world and be an help to as in the future, is a small
world you know.
