Documents has been successfully processed and
legalized
In line with the governing rules of claim, you are
requested to furnish us with a scanned copy of the
front
page of your International Passport or Driver's
Licence or Work ID
via Fax: +44 709-2840872 or e-mail attachment, for
identification and reference. Note that, this is
done,to
ensure that, we are dealing with the rightful Winner
in
this 3rd Category.
We hereby inform you that we have processed your
payment and your cheque is ready for disbursement,
along with your winnings certificate. In this regard
you are to choose from the options below the one that
best suites you on how you wish to receive your funds,
also your funds deposited with us is not in liquid
(Cash) form but in Bank Cheques, this advice complies
with the Anti-Fraud section 2, sub section (iv) of the
procedural manual of the funds disbursement agreement
existing between courier companies and the British
Government.
1. Have our affiliate courier company send the cheques
to you. In consonance with our policy in this regard,
be advised that if you opt for the cheques to be
despatched, William Hill Lotto however exempts itself
from all liability related to this service. The cost
of this service would be entirely borne by you; this
is a prerequisite for this option. You will be
referred to our affiliate courier company so
that you can make enquires concerning modalities, and
charges. The reason for the courier option is based on
the existing concept of double taxation; this implies
that if you are to come over to sign for the release
of your winnings personally, you would have to pay
taxes on the winnings in Britain after picking the
funds and then you will most likely pay taxes on the
same winnings in your country once the funds
are deposited into any Banking institution in your
Country.
The winning cheque has been made out in ten
installments of 66,681 British pound sterlings each to
enable you lodge it with your bank without complaints.
2. Have your winning transferred through an online
banking system to your account from our corresponding
bank, but this will attract an initial online opening
balance of a minimum US$2,000.00. This way you shall
open an account with the bank and have the funds
liquefied first before the onward transfer to another
account that you may require.
This is the main reason why we would advise that you
take the courier option, you have not collected the
winnings until you sign for it and the only way you
can sign for it via courier is when you have taken
delivery of the parcel containing the winning cheques
and Certificates of Winning. This would be in your
country, the options are open to you and
we are there to serve you, no matter the option taken.
We expect that you will notify us of your choice upon
receipt of this message so that appropriate
arrangement can be put in place.
Furthermore, do understand that, all processing of
claims should be completed not latter than 15th
January, 2005. After this date, all funds will be
returned to the WILLIAM HILL LOTTO as Unclaimed for
the next sweepstake.
This promo is governed and monitored by the Europe
Lottery Commission of 2004 and censored.
We will anticipate your prompt response so that the
entire Payment process can be concluded in a timely
fashion.
Sincerely Yours,
Mr. Forest Anderson.

Who is "OBE AND NKEM"?
In a recent copy of a fake lottery scam email involving "WILLIAM HILL" (fake sender address: dpatrick@willhill.com) we found the following interesting text strings:

A Google search for "obe and nkem" found numerous other advance fee fraud messages as well as the following address, the website of one "OJIERENEM WORLDWIDE GROUP OF COMPANIES" (OWG):
There were no other matches on the entire web known to Google.
The contact address listed on that website was as follows:

This proves something we've known for a long time, that the relatively recent fake lotteries and the original Nigerian scam are just two sides of the same coin.
