"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Subject: Graham Robert Trust Fund Beneficiary

Graham Robert Trust Fund Beneficiary,

This is in regard to the pending Graham Robert trust fund amounting to the
sum of (155,600,000.00 USD) willed to you by late Graham Robert for the
purpose of charity. This fund as you are aware was willed to you because
of the trust Graham Robert have for you, Graham Robert trust the fact that
you are very capable to handle this trust fund as a result he willed you
his entire trust fund.

It is however very strange to note that after all Graham Robert have put
in place to make sure that this charity works commences, you are still
delaying the fund transfer due to a mere demand by the transferring bank
to cover the cost for the fund transfer knowing full well that Graham
Robert passed on and as such, there is no way he can finance the fund
transfer and it’s your responsibility as the beneficiary of the fund to
finance the transfer of the fund since Graham Robert is not alive.

The transferring bank has made it clear that it’s not possible on their
part to help cover this charge and they insist the fee must be paid from
your end. I on my part have spent all my money on Graham Robert hospital
bills as well as funeral and I expect you to pay me back as soon as you
have transferred the funds in your account. I currently am not in a
position to pay any charges for you as I don’t have any money. To this end
I appealed to the bank to allow you pay 1/3rd of the required fee (3,499
USD) which is (1,116 USD). I believe this amount is considerably ok
enough. The bank will not go back on this as they believe you should be
able to raise (1,116 USD) to cover the fee and have them transfer part of
the fund to your account so you can have access to the fund and be able to
complete the balance charge so you can commence the charity project as
soon as possible. I am very sure Graham was aware this transaction will
cost you something as a result he willed 40 percent of the fund for your
personal expenses why the 60 percent go for charity.

At this point I have been directed by my chambers to re indicate your
interest on the Graham Robert trust fund and to proceed and pay the bank
charges that is amounted to the sum of (1,116 USD) or better still you can
decline the transaction if you think you can’t or you won’t pay the
charges so we can be able to act according to the Graham Robert (WILL)
which states that if the beneficiary is not able to transfer the funds for
any reason whatsoever, the said fund should be confiscated by the British
High court on ground of incompetence on your part. I urge you to decide
to either decline or proceed and make the payment (1,116 USD) via the
below payment information.

MODE OF PAYMENT: WESTERN UNION MONEY TRANSFER
NAME: MIRIAM COUSON
ADDRESS: LONDON, UNITED KINGDOM

You are to send payment information as soon as you make payment to enable
me documents it and in turn forward your payment to the transferring bank
as soon as possible.

I await your response to this email as soon as possible.

Have a nice day
Charles Stanley
