"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Hello,
 
 
My name is Mr. Mcjoel Wayne from Charles Schwab Bank Florida, FL- USA, I wish to notify you that we have actually been authorized by the World Bank, and the governing body of the monetary unit of the United Nations to deliver your ATM CARD without delay.  In regards to this , we conducted a meeting last week with all the executive of activation department of Charles Schwab Bank, in conjunction with Bank of America (BOA) officials  in the states regarding the immediate release of your ATM CARD.
 
We have agreement with World Bank to deliver your card to you based in one condition because your card has being activated; the condition is that you will pay the delivering fee $82 and the Insurance coverage fee $399 which covers your card with the documents on the package.
 
This was resolved in a meeting held between World Bank , Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) Authorities and Officials of United States Government in New York last week, as a condition from the International Monetary Fund to support United States of America in receiving total debt cancellation or forgiveness from the International Financial Bodies.
 
Please note as per the instruction from the appropriate authorities, we don’t accept western union because of the impostor, we only accept bank to bank wire transfer or PayPal Transfers.
 
Please get back to me asap so that I will furnish you account info that you will use and transfer/ wire the fee $481 , to enable us deliver your card to you within 48hours. In order to facilitate immediate delivery of your ATM CARD, and for proper verification purposes, you are to reconfirm your Full name, Billing Address and your Telephone numbers.
 
Finally, this is the only money that you are to pay for the delivering of your card and if you send this fee $481 and you don’t receive card don’t trust my office again, you have to stop anything that you are doing with any office regarding the delivering of your card because you will keep paying money to Africa and you will not receive anything from them.
